DBT IOP On-Call Behavior Specialist

Ryther is a recognized leader in behavioral health services for children and their families facing complex challenges. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive services and evidence based treatments.

Ryther’s DBT intensive outpatient program consists of three 3 hour DBT groups per week in addition to an individual session for each participant. You will provide supervision and behavior support to youth engaged in DBT-Intensive Outpatient Services (IOP), and across programs under the care of Ryther. You'll work collaboratively within a team of professionals to provide youth with a supportive environment that promotes stabilization using a trauma-informed and DEI framework. May work in one program or across many programs within Outpatient Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support program activities including group and case management.
  • Provide direct and consistent supervision, support, and emotion regulation.
  • Maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries and awareness regarding clients, families, co-workers, and community resources, etc.
  • Consistently role model appropriate behaviors, emotions, and communication skills, i.e., anger management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
  • Utilize verbal de-escalation skills during crisis interventions.
  • Approach families in a manner consistent with agency and program philosophy.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation pertaining to clients, i.e., daily logs, group notes, incident reports, etc.

Position Requirements:

  • 20 or more years of age
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling or related field from an accredited university
  • Minimum one year experience working with youth
  • Minimum basic knowledge of DBT skills and theory of DBT
  • Basic understanding of research practices and adherence to protocol
  • Evening availability a minimum of 3 nights per week.
